Arugula

Also known as rocket, rucola, or roquette, this peppery green has been cultivated in the Mediterranean for thousands of years. With high levels of potassium and vitamins A and C, arugula is a nutritional powerhouse. It makes more of a punch, flavor-wise, than most other leafy greens, which lends itself nicely to a variety of dishes.
Long, dark, lobed leaves are suitable for salad mix or bunching. White flowers with dark pink veins make attractive spicy additions to salad mixes.

These gorgeous carrots are deep purple ( almost black skin )from skin to core. A wonderful addition to salads. They are 9-10" long with a tapered shape and sweet taste. They do not loose their color when cooked, getting even darker. The juice is also intensely purple and can even be used as a dye for food, easter eggs or fabrics. Add lemon juice to turn the juice bright pink! 75-80 days.
Chives
HR127 Chives ( Allium schoenoprasum )
Great for dressing up potatoes and spicing up salads, Chives are easy-to-grow from herb seeds, and their lavender flowers make an attractive clump or edging in gardens. Chives are a must-have kitchen herb and are perfect for almost any savory dish. The Chives herb has tubular leaves that add a delicate onion flavor to cooking. They also make a nice garnish too with flower heads that can be used! The flowers have an even milder onion flavor.

The flowers produced from Garlic Chives herb seeds bloom during the summer months which is much later than traditional chives. Say adios to vinegar - this little 'pickle' ( The Mexican Gherkin is technically not a cucumber. The genus Cucumis contains lots of familiar crops, including gourds, but only one species, Cucumis sativus, is considered a cucumber really. This is one of the most interesting plants we have found. It is a climbing member of the cucumber family that can be used as a vegetable in salads, or steamed, it has a nice sweet flavor. It is also an herbal plant, the fruit has anti-inflammatory, weight reducing ( it is often sold in capsule form as a natural weight loss product ), lipid-absorbing, cholesterol and blood sugar regulating affects.
