Meet the Seed Squad - a collection of 'wacky' characters who will encourage children's interest in gardening. Since the launch of the Seed Squad the family has grown, testimony to how successful the range has become. The 'Squad' characters all have their own individual personalities and the range of products includes flower and vegetable seed, and collection packs. Each pack of seeds has a unique character ( as pictured ) and complete instructions printed on the packet.

A pretty mix of colors! Carefree Calendula, Crazy Cornflower and Classy Clarkia are joined in this special 'Seed Squad' mixture by some of their good friends including Candytuft, Godetia and Virginian Stock. Features: A collection of 'wacky' characters who will encourage children's interest in gardening. Flowering: End June-September. Culture: Choose a sunny site in the garden, with weed free soil. Scatter the seeds thinly. You may want to outline a shape such as your initials in the soil and scatter the seeds in the shape. Lightly cover with soil and water them well. Help them grow by feeding with plant food and watering them when they need it. You may need to support taller flowers with a strong stick to stop them falling over.

Sways in the breeze! 'Posh Poppy' is tall, elegant and enjoys dancing in the summer breeze. Features: A 'wacky' character to encourage children's interest in gardening. Flowering: Mid June-September. Height: 60cm (24"). Culture: Choose a sunny site in the garden, with weed free soil. Sprinkle the seeds into the soil, about 6mm (¼") deep. Lightly cover with soil and water them well. Help them grow by feeding with plant food and watering them when they need it. You can also grow Poppies in September to flower next April-June.

'Playful Pansy' is a happy plant who will grow flowers of many colors. Flowering: mid June-September or March to April. Height: 15-23cm (6-9"). Culture: Choose a sunny site in the garden with weed free soil. Put each seed into the soil about 6mm (¼") deep. Lightly cover with soil and water them well. If it starts to become crowded you may need to dig some out carefully and replant them so each one is about 15-23cm (6-9") apart. Feed with plant food and water when needed. You can also sow Pansies in July to flower next May.

Pumpkins Ready: September-October. Sow seeds in 7.5cm (3") pots of compost, 25mm (1") deep. Keep on a sunny windowsill or greenhouse to grow. Plant out when all danger of frost has past. Between May and June you can sow directly outside.

Really I'm Sweet! 'Tearaway Tomato' looks a little 'toughie' but he's quite sweet really. Features: A 'wacky' character to encourage children's interest in gardening. Culture: Sow: February-April. Plant Out: May-June. From February onwards sow seeds inside in trays of quality compost 6mm (¼") deep. Keep on a sunny windowsill or in a greenhouse to grow. When the tiny plants are large enough to handle, carefully plant each one into a 75mm (3") pot to grow on. They will need the support of a strong cane to help as they grow. Pick your tomatoes when they are lovely and red.

Pick when about 10" in length! This Runner Bean produces a lot of red flowers. Very soon after that small beans will form. Features: A 'wacky' character to encourage children's interest in gardening. Culture: Sow: April-June. Plant Out: May-June. Beans Ready: end July-mid October. Sow seeds in pots or trays of compost, 38mm (1½") deep. Keep on a sunny windowsill or in a greenhouse to grow. Plant out when all danger of frost has past. Between May and June you can plant seeds direct outside. Keen Bean get very thirsty when flowering and when it is dry, so water him well.
