Plant Gel is a 100% Non-Toxic, biodegradable, and odorless super absorbent crystal, that absorbs up to 400 times its weight in water, and has a life span of approximately 5 to 7 years.

Plant Gel is simply mixed with water to produce a clear gel that may be used in place of soil for potting plants. You may also add color to the gel to create decorative displays with your house plants!

Plant Gel time releases vitamins and minerals directly to the plant's root system, which will increase the life span of your plants, making them healthier and more vibrant!

Plant Gel is an excellent medium for plants due to its water absorbing ability. This also means that you only have to water your plants every 4-6 weeks!!! Plant Gel can be used alone or with soil.

Plant Gel allows over 90% of the water and plant food to be directly available to the plant's root system. No other component used in growing mixes allows this much absorption by plants. For example, clay soils retain a great amount of water, but less than 50% of the water is released to the root systems. In addition, Plant Gel, being a gelatin, allows for excellent aeration.

Plant Gel will reduce your irrigation needs and frequency in as much as 50% as well as retain your applied fertilizers and nutrients for plant use.
We offer a bulk 6 pound package ( an outdoor type ) for adding to lawns and flowerbeds. For lawns, use at a rate of 6 pounds dry crystals per 1,000 square feet. Must be tilled into soil ( dry crystals ), it cannot be broadcast onto the top of the soil. For best results, work 2-3 inches into soil.

For flowerbeds, use at a much heavier rate of 2 pounds per 100 square feet of dry crystals, work throughly into soil and if possible, work in as much as 6 inches deep to feed bottom roots during very dry weather.

Do not use Miracle Grow® or similar soluble foods, as most of these will contain acids that break down the Plant Gel.

Plant Gel Liquid Coloring Concentrate

All you need to color Plant Gel is a good commercial type food coloring. We use Lorann's coloring as we've found it offers the brightest hues in the coloring. We use only 10 drops of coloring per gallon of water and add the coloring to the water before adding the Plant Gel crystals. You can use more if you prefer a darker color. Each 1 ounce bottle of coloring will color about 35 gallons of Plant Gel.
