Our Favorite Marigolds
Marigolds emit a strong scent from compounds in their roots and foliage that deter unwanted insects such as aphids, mosquitoes, tomato worms, and blackflies. Certain types of marigolds contain alpha-terthienyl, a chemical that can suppress root-knot nematodes, microscopic worms in the soil that damage plant roots. The flowers attract pollinators like bees and butterflies and also draw in predatory insects such as ladybugs and hoverflies, which help control pest populations naturally.
Their vibrant yellow and orange flowers provide a burst of color, enhancing the aesthetic of any garden. Marigolds are known for being hardy, easy to grow, and can tolerate a variety of conditions.
Companion planting: You can plant them among vegetables, such as tomatoes, squash, and carrots, to protect them from pests and improve the soil.

Guardian Gold is a specialized variety of French marigold (Tagetes patula) renowned for its exceptional natural pest-control properties, particularly against soil-borne nematodes.

AW30 Sparky French Marigold Mix
If we planted only one marigold, it would be Sparky! This is not your ordinary marigold, it is super tough and blooms all summer until frost. It has a very unusual flower form that is wide and wavy, the colors are vivid shades of deep orange and yellow that reminds you of a sunset.
This is an excellent border plant that is stunning when planted in a large grouping, it also does great in baskets and containers.

LET901 Antigua Mix
Antigua blooms longer by far than any other varieties of marigold. But the huge, gorgeous 3-inch globes of yellow, gold, and orange aren't the only great thing about this hybrid, it's also a very tough, compact garden performer that starts blooming just 60 days from sowing and develops a dense habit that is very unique.
Very free-blooming, these plants keep their neat 10- to 12-inch height all season, making them a great choice in front of tall flower garden plants. And butterflies love them!.
