Flaming Fountain Amaranthus is a spectacular foliage amaranth that creates a blazing display of fiery reds, oranges, golds, burgundy, and scarlet tones throughout the growing season. Unlike traditional flowering amaranths grown primarily for their seed heads, this remarkable variety is prized for its brilliantly colored leaves that resemble a fountain of flames erupting from the garden. The dramatic foliage intensifies as the season progresses, producing a stunning centerpiece that commands attention from midsummer until frost.

The large, arching leaves develop an ever-changing blend of colors, often displaying multiple shades on the same plant. Flaming Fountain adds tropical flair to flower beds, borders, containers, and landscape plantings while thriving in hot summer conditions that challenge many other ornamental plants.

Growing Information

Flaming Fountain thrives in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil. Plants typically grow 3 to 5 feet tall and develop a broad, fountain-like habit. The colorful foliage becomes most intense when grown in bright sunlight and warm temperatures.

Once established, plants tolerate heat and short periods of drought remarkably well. The vibrant foliage remains attractive throughout the season and often becomes even more colorful as summer transitions into autumn.
