Snowpeak Arabis Seeds

Snowpeak Rock Cress (Arabis alpina) is a beautiful evergreen alpine perennial that produces an abundance of brilliant snow-white flowers over dense cushions of rich green foliage in early spring. As one of the earliest blooming perennials in the garden, Snowpeak creates a dazzling carpet of white that cascades naturally over rocks, retaining walls, borders, and garden edges. Its neat, low-growing habit, exceptional cold hardiness, and long-lasting floral display make it a favorite for rock gardens, alpine landscapes, and sunny perennial borders.

Garden Uses
Snowpeak is ideal for rock gardens, alpine gardens, retaining walls, edging pathways, gravel gardens, raised beds, containers, slopes, and perennial borders. Its cascading habit softens stone walls and beautifully fills spaces between rocks and paving stones. It pairs exceptionally well with aubrieta, creeping phlox, candytuft, dianthus, armeria, dwarf iris, sedums, creeping thyme, and spring-flowering bulbs. Its pure white flowers also provide a striking contrast against colorful spring bloomers.

Growing Information
Grow Snowpeak in full sun to light partial shade in well-drained soil. It performs best in sandy, gravelly, or rocky soils where excellent drainage is available. Mature plants typically reach 6 to 8 inches tall while spreading 12 to 18 inches or more, gradually forming dense evergreen mats. Once established, Snowpeak is remarkably drought tolerant and requires very little maintenance. Lightly trim plants after flowering to encourage compact growth and maintain an attractive shape. Seeds germinate readily when lightly covered with soil and kept evenly moist until established.
