Tasso Strawberries & Cream (Bellis perennis) is a delightful English Daisy that produces fully double, cushion-like blooms in soft shades of creamy white blended with rich strawberry pink. Blooming on compact plants only a few inches tall, this charming perennial brings cheerful color to spring gardens, borders, containers, and window boxes. Its perfectly rounded flowers resemble tiny pincushions, making it one of the most attractive selections in the popular Tasso series.
Garden Uses:
Tasso Strawberries & Cream is ideal for edging walkways, rock gardens, cottage gardens, spring bedding displays, patio containers, window boxes, and mixed planters. Its compact growth makes it perfect for filling small spaces where bright spring color is desired. The flowers also make charming miniature cut flowers for small bouquets and floral arrangements.
Growing Information:
Sow seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost or outdoors once temperatures begin cooling in late summer for spring flowering the following season. Seeds require light for germination, so press them gently onto the surface without covering. Germination normally occurs in 10-20 days at 65-70°F. Plants prefer cool temperatures, fertile well-drained soil, and full sun to partial shade. In regions with mild summers they perform as true perennials, while in warmer climates they are often grown as cool-season annuals or biennials. Remove faded flowers regularly to encourage continuous blooming.
