FA60 Red Chief ( Eschscholzia californica )
Scarlet flowers stand out strikingly against the silvery blue-green foliage. These plants need little care and can survive in dry areas with sandy soil. Blue-gray foliage
contrasts nicely with satiny flowers that bloom from June to frost. Clip the flowers from the plant before the bud opens for cut flowers. Drought tolerant and naturalizes especially in shoreline areas. Direct seed outdoors. It does not transplant well.
