This popular, elegant, and very fast growing palm from southern and eastern Australia has grass green leaves, a slim, straight trunk, and a long, smooth crownshaft. An easy-to-grow plant suitable for cool temperate to cool tropical climates, or for indoors if given bright enough light. Often confused with A. alexandrae which has greenish-white to cream-colored flowers, whereas A. cunninghamiana has pink to lavender flowers. Cold hardy to about 25 degrees.
