BM27 Chilly Chili ( For Ornamental
Use )
This variety is a 2002 All-America Selections (AAS) winner prized for its decorative appeal and safety. Unlike most ornamental peppers that are intensely hot, Chilly Chili fruits have no heat (non-pungent), making them ideal for households with kids or curious pets.
The plant produces 2 to 2.5-inch slender peppers that grow vertically in clusters. The fruits undergo a "metamorphosis," changing from greenish-yellow to orange and finally to dark red.
It is a compact, vigorous plant reaching roughly 9 to 12 inches in height with a similar spread, making it perfect for 4- to 6-inch pots or border edging.
While grown primarily for decoration, the peppers are fully edible.
AAS - F1, 10" high, sweet, child safe, yellow turning red, for 4 to 6" pots. Grows about 10" tall, good container plant.
