Romanian heirloom for Paprika. The Karlo is a semi-hot and semi-sweet paprika-style pepper known for its thick walls and productivity. Originally selected from the Garden City Seed variety in the 1980s, it is prized for its cold tolerance and suitability for making balanced homemade paprika powder.
The fruits are shiny, pointed, and typically 3.5 to 5 inches long. Peppers start as a light yellow and mature to a vibrant red. Features thick walls that hold up well during roasting, peeling, and stuffing. A prolific producer, typically yielding at least a dozen (and up to 24) fruits per plant. 72 days.
