Pepperoncino is the classic little Italian pepper often found pickled in gourmet produce departments and served with salads, sandwiches, and antipasto. This strain is imported directly from Milan, Italy, and is valued for purity, productivity, and traditional pickling quality.
Plants are vigorous, reaching about 30 inches tall, and produce abundant thin fruits that are usually harvested in the young golden-green stage. The peppers are 2 to 4 inches long, sweet until late maturity, and turn red when fully mature. Excellent for canning, pickling, and mild pepper dishes. 72 days.
