Blueberry Shake Petunia Seeds

 Petunia.
LET887 Blueberry Shake

Blueberry Shake Petunia is a distinctive specialty petunia variety known for its dramatic blend of purple, lavender, cream, and deep plum tones. The blooms have a marbled, blended appearance that gives each flower its own unique pattern, with rich blueberry-purple coloring often swirling across pale cream to lavender petals. This unusual color combination creates a cool, sophisticated look in containers, hanging baskets, borders, and mixed annual plantings.

Blooming from late spring until frost, Blueberry Shake provides months of eye-catching color and strong ornamental appeal. The flowers are especially attractive up close, where the intricate veining and painterly patterns can be fully appreciated. Its compact yet full growth habit makes it an excellent choice for patio pots, porch planters, and decorative garden displays.

Garden Uses

Blueberry Shake Petunia is ideal for containers, hanging baskets, window boxes, patio planters, borders, and mixed annual beds. The purple, cream, and lavender tones pair beautifully with white alyssum, silver dusty miller, blue lobelia, purple verbena, calibrachoa, angelonia, and ornamental grasses.

This variety is especially useful in cool-color garden designs and decorative containers where unusual flower patterns are desired. It can be grown alone as a feature plant or combined with softer companion flowers for a layered, elegant display.

Growing Information

Start seeds indoors 10 to 12 weeks before the last expected frost. Petunia seeds require light to germinate, so sow them on the surface of a moist seed-starting mix and press gently into the growing medium without covering. Maintain temperatures between 70 and 75 degrees F. Germination usually occurs within 7 to 14 days.

Transplant outdoors after all danger of frost has passed. Grow in full sun for the best flowering and strongest color development. Petunias prefer fertile, well-drained soil and consistent moisture, especially when grown in containers or hanging baskets during hot weather.

Feed regularly with a balanced flowering plant fertilizer to support continuous bloom. Occasional deadheading or light trimming helps keep plants tidy and encourages fresh flower production through the season.
