LET929 Success TR Silver Vein

Success TR Silver Vein Petunia is an elegant and eye-catching petunia variety featuring large white blooms dramatically accented with intricate silver-gray to lavender-purple veining. The delicate network of veins radiates from the flower's center, creating a refined, hand-painted appearance that stands out in containers, hanging baskets, borders, and landscape plantings. The unique coloration gives the flowers a sophisticated look while maintaining the vigorous flowering and reliable performance for which the Success series is known.

Blooming continuously from late spring until frost, Success TR Silver Vein delivers season-long color and exceptional garden value. The flowers create a striking visual effect whether planted alone or combined with complementary annuals in mixed containers and bedding displays.

Garden Uses

Success TR Silver Vein Petunia is excellent for containers, hanging baskets, window boxes, borders, edging, and mass plantings. The unique silver-veined blooms pair beautifully with purple verbena, blue lobelia, white alyssum, dusty miller, calibrachoa, osteospermum, and ornamental grasses. Its refined coloring works especially well in formal garden designs, cottage gardens, and contemporary container arrangements.

The plants are equally effective as a stand-alone feature or as a complement to brighter flower colors. The distinctive veining adds visual texture and interest even from a distance.

Growing Information

Start seeds indoors 10 to 12 weeks before the last expected frost. Petunia seeds require light for germination, so press them gently onto the surface of a moist seed-starting mix without covering them. Maintain temperatures between 70 and 75 degrees F during germination, which usually occurs within 7 to 14 days.

Transplant outdoors after all danger of frost has passed. Grow in full sun for the best flowering and strongest flower coloration. Petunias prefer fertile, well-drained soil and regular moisture. Container-grown plants may require more frequent watering during periods of hot weather.

Apply a balanced fertilizer regularly throughout the growing season to encourage continuous bloom production. Occasional deadheading and light grooming help maintain a tidy appearance and encourage additional flowering.
