Purple Tansy Seeds

Produces an abundant quantity of nectar which butterflies and bees find hard to resist, this is an excellent flower for planting alongside vegetable gardens to attract bees and beneficial insects. A hardy annual, native to California but has naturalized throughout the western United States. The flowering portion of the stalk is curled, slowly unwinding to reveal lavender-colored flowers at maturity. The stamens radiate outward, twice as long as the petals, giving the plant an unusual appearance. Prefers full sun in various soils.

Grows about 12 to 24 inches tall, will germinate in about 15-60 days depending on soil and weather conditions, germinates best if soil temperature is in the 60-70°F range.
Cover seeds about 1/16 inch deep, blooms from April to July.
