Laurentian Rutabaga Seeds

The Laurentian rutabaga is a classic Canadian heirloom variety known for its uniform, globe-shaped roots and refined, sweet flavor. It features a distinctive deep purple crown with a creamy-yellow base and pale yellow flesh that is fine-grained and mild.
Produces round, 4 to 6 inch roots with smooth, purple-topped skin and golden-yellow bottoms. Flavor is a mix of sweet cabbage flavor with a potato-like texture. The flavor typically improves and sweetens after exposure to frost.
Recognized as an excellent "keeper," it can be stored for up to six months in cool, humid conditions like a root cellar. Generally takes 95 to 120 days to reach full maturity.
