Marley Hybrid Sunflower Seeds

Marley Hybrid Sun Flower.
LET898 Marley Hybrid Sunflower

Marley Hybrid Sunflower is a striking ornamental sunflower grown for its bright golden-yellow petals accented by warm red to mahogany rings around dark central disks. This colorful hybrid of Helianthus annuus produces bold, cheerful blooms with a dramatic two-tone effect, making it excellent for cutting gardens, pollinator plantings, summer borders, and eye-catching seasonal displays.

Garden Uses

Marley Hybrid is ideal for sunny borders, cutting gardens, cottage gardens, pollinator beds, wildlife gardens, and mixed annual plantings. The golden petals with rich red centers give the flowers a warm, glowing appearance that works beautifully in summer and autumn color schemes.

This sunflower combines well with zinnias, cosmos, gomphrena, celosia, marigolds, salvia, rudbeckia, ornamental grasses, and other warm-season annuals. Its bright blooms also make excellent focal flowers in fresh bouquets and market-style arrangements.

Plant in groups for the strongest effect, or use as a colorful backdrop behind lower-growing annuals.

Growing Information

Marley Hybrid grows best in full sun and well-drained garden soil. Sow seeds directly outdoors after danger of frost has passed and soil temperatures have warmed. Plant seeds about 1/2 to 1 inch deep and keep evenly moist until germination.

Sunflowers grow quickly in warm weather and appreciate regular moisture during establishment. Once established, they tolerate moderate dry periods, though consistent watering during hot weather helps produce the best blooms.

Provide fertile soil and good air circulation. Taller plants may benefit from protection from strong winds. Succession sowing every couple of weeks can help extend the harvest season for cut flowers.
