Belize Double Pink Bicolor Zinnia is a dazzling modern zinnia that produces fully double blooms in beautiful shades of bright pink highlighted with soft rose, blush, and creamy white accents. Many flowers display striking bicolor patterns with lighter petal tips or contrasting centers, giving each bloom its own unique appearance. Compact, vigorous, and exceptionally floriferous, the Belize Series is known for outstanding heat tolerance, excellent disease resistance, and nonstop flowering from early summer until frost.
Garden Uses
Belize Double Pink Bicolor is perfect for containers, borders, cottage gardens, pollinator gardens, cutting gardens, landscape beds, and mass plantings. Its vibrant pink blooms pair beautifully with white cosmos, purple salvia, blue ageratum, lavender verbena, ornamental grasses, celosia, marigolds, and silver foliage plants. The compact growth habit makes it especially effective in patio containers and front-of-border plantings, while its sturdy stems provide beautiful flowers for fresh bouquets.
Growing Information
Direct sow seeds outdoors after all danger of frost has passed, or start indoors 4 to 6 weeks before transplanting. Plant seeds approximately 1/4 inch deep in fertile, well-drained soil. Germination generally occurs within 5 to 10 days at temperatures between 70–80°F. Grow plants in full sun for maximum flowering and best color development. Mature plants typically reach 12 to 18 inches tall with a spread of 10 to 14 inches. Water deeply but allow good air circulation around the plants. Regular deadheading or harvesting encourages continuous blooming throughout the growing season.
