Crestar Mix Zinnia is a distinctive heirloom annual celebrated for its unusual crested, semi-double, and cactus-like blooms in a brilliant range of colors. Growing Information
Direct sow seeds outdoors after all danger of frost has passed and the soil has warmed, or start indoors 4 to 6 weeks before transplanting. Plant seeds approximately 1/4 inch deep in fertile, well-drained soil. Germination usually occurs within 5 to 10 days at temperatures between 70–80°F. Grow plants in full sun for maximum flowering and strongest stems. Mature plants typically reach 24 to 36 inches tall with a spread of 18 to 24 inches. Water deeply at the base of the plants, provide good air circulation, and remove spent blooms or harvest flowers regularly to encourage nonstop blooming until frost.
