Lilliput Red Zinnia Seeds

Lilliput Red Zinnia.
MON003 Lilliput Red

Lilliput Red Zinnia is a classic heirloom annual prized for its brilliant scarlet-red, fully double pompon flowers that completely cover compact, well-branched plants throughout the summer. The perfectly rounded miniature blooms resemble tiny dahlias, creating a neat and colorful display that brightens borders, containers, cottage gardens, and cutting beds. Blooming continuously from early summer until frost, Lilliput Red combines old-fashioned charm with dependable heat tolerance and exceptional flower production.

Garden Uses
Lilliput Red is ideal for border edging, butterfly gardens, pollinator plantings, patio containers, cottage gardens, cutting gardens, and colorful mass plantings. The vivid scarlet-red blooms create striking combinations with white alyssum, yellow marigolds, blue salvia, purple ageratum, orange zinnias, cosmos, celosia, and ornamental grasses. Its compact habit makes it especially valuable for smaller gardens, while the long stems are excellent for bright summer bouquets.

Growing Information
Direct sow seeds outdoors after all danger of frost has passed and the soil has warmed, or start indoors 4 to 6 weeks before transplanting. Sow seeds approximately 1/4 inch deep in fertile, well-drained soil. Germination usually occurs within 5 to 10 days at temperatures of 70–80°F. Plant in full sun for the strongest growth and heaviest flowering. Mature plants generally reach 18 to 24 inches tall with a spread of 12 to 18 inches. Water deeply during extended dry periods, provide adequate spacing for air circulation, and deadhead spent blooms regularly to encourage continuous flowering until frost.
